I worked out how to complete my Rubik's cube yesterday! It was really hard! I used an algorithm for solving this particularly hard puzzle. (An algorithm is just a sequence of moves you need to do in a specific order.) It took about 2 hours to do. Here I am!

Me and my solved Rubik's cube!

I had a look on Google and it showed a few steps that were hard to follow, so it's definitely a challenge! To follow the algorithm, you make a white cross, then do the corner pieces, then the middle layer, then bottom layer, and finally bottom corners. Here is a link to the detailed version.

I am working on my second go today. Woo-hoo!

There are also other types of Rubik's cubes. One that is fully dimensional (it can turn in every single direction), one that is magnetic so it's easy to control, so you can have races, and a 2x2 one that is smaller than the normal size: 3x3, and finally 4x4s and 5x5s.

Did you know that the world record for the fastest Rubik's cube solved is 3.4 seconds?! However, in 2020 a robot did it in 0.3 seconds!!! And the world record for doing it with feet is 20.5 seconds! Crazy!
